Fletcher ‘Fletch’ Kirwan

I started 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu with Scott Epstein in January of 2014 as a 265 pound collegiate rugby player. My previous martial arts experience was 3 years of Muay Thai under Surapuk Jamjuntr. Since starting at 10th Planet West LA I have improved my diet, health (185 pounds), coordination, balance, problem solving, endurance, and strength by devoting much of my time and energy into training and the study of jiu jitsu as applied physics.

I started as a white belt with Einstein at 10th Planet West LA and have received my Blue and Purple promotions from Scott after several years of training and successful competition experience. I have 2 Gold medals in the NAGA Masters Expert division and a half dozen medals from tournaments at my rank. My current focus in the art is on Leg Locks but I am happy to teach any part of the 10th Planet system including the Lockdown, Truck, Rubber Guard, Spider Web, Back Takes, and traditional Top Game.
